This is a real carbon fiber composite material applied to the top of the notebook. Looks very good, and also helps protect your system from scratches. This is NOT a vinyl or sticker.  picture

This is an aluminum sheet, about the thickness of a business card. It has a brushed finished over a charcoal hard coat. Looks very good and resists scratching to some degree. picture

This is a custom made aircraft aluminum "shield plate" raised a total of 1/4" from the top of the notebook; 1/8" forms a complete shield, covering the stock brushed aluminum cover and back of the LCD, the remaining 1/8" is a  machined 3 dimensional Killer Notebooks Insignia. Anodized 1 of 12 colors, this is the coolest notebook mod available! It is difficult to see in the picture, but the edges flow to the plate like the edge of a knife and all the places where the design ends, like the end of the K and N are "melted" into the plate. If you ran your finger from the plate up say the leg of that K, you would slowly feel it rise over a span of 1/2". It doesn't just start and stop. The top 2 pictures are "phase 1" straight from the fabricator before sanding.

10 hours later you have your knife's edge "melted" finish ooooozing cool.

But, that's not enough. To be "Killer" you have to be so over the top that it is beyond what anyone needs. Here is the Golden foil finished letters and knife handle along with the silver finished blade. Sick.

This is a custom design only offered by Killer Notebooks. Same as the shield plate above, but customized to your specifications. These can basically be anything you can think up, we have had actual carbon fiber inlaid into aluminum to create the ultimate personalization. $250+ (depends on complexity) Picture of an actual customer design.  

This is not a sticker, it is not paint, it isn't a temporary "tattoo", it won't scratch off, it can't be taken off with solvents... in short it won't come off..
